Quick tips
How do I....
Edit a page? Click on edit this page and SAVE IT! Do this in Firefox.
Student sign ups: http://workingonawiki.wikispaces.com/Student+Passwords
See what students have done or what students have contributed? Go to history - a tab at the top of the page, to see who has added. Click on the time and date to see what they have added.
Change the colors and visual appeal of the site? Go to manage this space. Select Look and Feel.
Add a file? Go to manage space. Upload files. Upload your file and then go back to the page that you want it to appear on. On the page, type file:filename.extension with 2 brackets around it. For example, if the file name is Elmo, and it is a pdf, you would type two brackets, then file:Elmo.pdf. If you do not type the title exactly as it appears, with the file extension, a broken image will appear. Make sure you type it exactly as it appears, with the brackets and starting with file.
Make a new page? Go to new page on the left. Name it and write something on it. Save it.
Make sidebar links to your other pages? Edit Navigation will allow you to include a sidebar that can be linked to each of your pages. Choose wiki link.
Add a video, table, picture? Use the Visual Editor which is pictured above when you hit edit this page to use bullets, numbering, add links, add pictures, add videos, tables and many other possibilities.
Enable my class to add to my wiki? Go to Manage Space - Invite People. You must send emails to your classes so that they can sign up. They will click the link sent in the email, create a username and password and then be able to edit the wiki. You could also have your space be public but then anyone can add to it.
Create a new wiki space? Click on the link in the top left corner - the title of your wiki. Click on create new space.
Make sure my wiki can just be edited by me or those that I invite? Go to Manage Space, and go to Permissions.
